Bouquet Preservation
We use conservation glass, custom hand-milled frames, and a detailed preservation process so each piece is crafted with longevity and care.
Take a look at our packages and pricing below. Please note, all orders require a 50% deposit to secure your date. The final payment is due prior to framing and pickup.

Custom Memorials, Gifts, & Art Commissions
We accept last-minute memorial and funeral orders, as we intentionally reserve time in our schedule for floral preservation.
We also offer 10% off all memorial and funeral pieces as a small gesture of care during a difficult time.

The Preservation Process
01.
Your bouquet will be taken apart and pressed bloom by bloom (some petal by petal) in a wooden press.
02.
The press is checked every other day to change papers and prevent molding.
03.
It could take up to 12 weeks for your flowers to dry, depending on the season. Once they’re finally dry, your flowers will be removed from the press and reconstructed.
04.
You will be sent at least two layouts to choose from depending on your order. Once approved, your design will be glued down. The entire process could take up to 24 weeks during our busiest seasons (May through November).
05.
You will be contacted when your order is ready for pickup! We can also arrange for shipping if you aren’t local to Columbus.
06.
Final payment is due at product completion, not pickup or before shipping.
07.

01. Fill out the questionnaire so we can see if your date is available.
02. If your date is available, we’ll reach out with more details. A 50% deposit secures your date and the products you want, but you don’t have to know exactly what products you want at this time. We can tweak your order once your florals are out of the press. We also welcome in-person consultations so you can see our work and all the possible product options.
03. We will communicate about the bouquet drop-off time and location with the contact person you designate on the questionnaire. Drop offs will be on Mondays unless otherwise scheduled.

Shipping your bouquet
Keep it safe on it’s journey to us!
Email storypressed@gmail.com to receive the shipping address.
Wrap a damp paper towel around the bouquet stem, then cover in foil or plastic wrap. Do not cover florals in plastic or paper!
Secure the bouquet in a shoe box, or a smaller box with an X in the top to hold the bouquet upright in a bigger box.
Write down your name, order, and phone number to include in the box.

I did not get a bouquet pressed from Story Pressed, although all of the ones I've seen are just beautiful. I did get some other really creative things like initials for my daughter made out of beautiful leaves and flowers but I think the most fun thing I got was an alligator made out of ferns. My sister and I joke about all of the alligators in Florida around our house so having this is just a piece of whimsy that brings a smile to our faces.
